I was at a Halloween party this weekend. This one was for adults and everyone went all out.
Each guest had clearly taken the time to get creative with their costumes. The room was filled with smiles and so much playful energy.
It got me thinking about the word “play.”
Here is the definition from Oxford Languages:
verb
How often do we play as adults? Most of us are focused on our careers, family and just plain adulting.
The science-proven benefits of play for children are well-known. But what about adults?
I find that PLAYing can boost our mood, inspire creativity and invite connection with others. It’s definitely something I need to infuse more of into my life.
On this Halloween eve, I invite you to see if you can schedule more time for PLAY in your calendar.
Does this resonate? Would love to hear your thoughts. Reach out.
Take care,
Deepti
